EPolitics and religion are at stake, Rubio warned.<\/p>\n

Sen.\u00a0Marco Rubio<\/b>\u00a0characterized American life as \u201chard\u201d on Friday and warned CPAC attendees of an ideology increasingly imposing its influence on America: Marxism.<\/p>\n

\u201cI believe there are a lot of people in this country influenced by Marxism that don\u2019t even realize they\u2019re being influenced by Marxism,\u201d Rubio warned a conservative crowd in Orlando. \u201cIt\u2019s infused in every aspect of our lives and our society.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a roughly 10-minute speech, Rubio lamented the alleged influence of Marxism and cited cancel culture as proof of its prominence.<\/p>\n

College campuses, he suggested, are ground zero. He lamented censorship and \u201cdigital mobs,\u201d saying\u00a0Marxism is far more than an\u00a0economic theory.<\/p>\n

\u201cEvery single person in this room \u2026 you\u2019re one word, you\u2019re one statement, you\u2019re one retweet, you\u2019re one like away from destroying your life,\u201d Rubio said.<\/p>\n

The son of Cuban immigrants, Rubio also lambasted heavy-handed COVID-19 policies such as vaccine and mask mandates.<\/p>\n

He took issue with citizens needing to produce \u201cpapers\u201d to dine out or otherwise participate in society.\u00a0\u00a0Such protocols are in effect ahead of the State of the Union Address on March 1.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat\u2019s happening now in America is what happens after 20 years of infusing this Marxist thought process into every aspect of our lives,\u201d Rubio said.<\/p>\n

More, though, is at stake than just politics, Rubio argued. He warned Marxists possess an \u201cinsatiable appetite\u201d for control and power.<\/p>\n

Their next target, in his eyes: Christianity.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf this trend continues \u2026 we will live to see the day where mainstream Judeo-Christian values, when excerpts out of the Bible, are considered hate speech,\u201d Rubio added.<\/p>\n

Throughout the speech, Rubio reiterated that American life is \u201chard.\u201d The freedoms associated with western life, he said, are unique and historically uncommon.<\/p>\n

Rubio characterized liberty and democracy as a \u201cmodern phenomenon.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAlmost everyone that\u2019s ever walked the Earth \u2026 lived in a place where they didn\u2019t get to pick their leaders, they didn\u2019t have any real rights,\u201d Rubio said. \u201cTheir rights are whatever their leaders allowed them to have.\u201d<\/p>\n

CPAC \u2014 the Conservative Political Action Conference \u2014 is a four-day gathering of conservative leaders, figures and supporters in Orlando.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
