While a plant needs both of these things to survive, different plant types will need different amounts.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPlants can get heat stress from being exposed to too much direct light or heat \u2013 to counteract this, they try to conserve moisture by curling up their leaves,\u201d explains Richard Cheshire, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.patchplants.com\/gb\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.patchplants.com\/gb\/en\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1652464308632000&amp;usg=AOvVaw2ln3Gg5vrkeTTAWeXnXPJk\">Patch\u2019s<\/a>\u00a0plant doctor.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMove the plant out of direct sunlight or intense heat and be sure to mist the leaves regularly to stop this from happening.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Cheshire continues: \u201cTry to keep your plants somewhere with a warm, even temperature \u2013 if a room is a comfortable temperature for you, it will be comfortable for the plant.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This is something you\u2019ll particularly want to keep in mind as we move towards winter and you think about switching on your heating \u2013 try to keep your plants away from radiators and other sources of heat to ensure they\u2019re exposed to an even temperature.<\/p>\n<h2>2. If it\u2019s bone dry, you should increase the frequency of watering. However, you\u2019ll still only want to water when the top two inches of the soil feel dry.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>3.
