In 1972, while on vacation, Stefano Mariottini, an engineer from Rome, snorkeling off the coast of Monasterace near Riace, noticed a human hand sticking out of the sand. Deciding that it was a corpse, he called the police.<\/p>\n

I recently spent $16,500 on this registered Black Angus bull.<\/p>\n

I put him out with the herd but he just ate grass and wouldn’t even look at a cow.<\/p>\n

I was beginning to think I had paid more for that bull than he was worth.<\/p>\n

Anyway……I had the Vet come and take a look at him.<\/p>\n

He said,, the bull was very healthy, but possibly just a little young, so he gave me some pills to feed him once per day.<\/p>\n

The bull started to service the cows within two days\u2026\u2026. all my cows!<\/p>\n

He even broke through the fence and bred with all of my neighbor’s cows! He’s like a machine!<\/p>\n

I don’t know what was in the pills the Vet gave him …<\/p>\n

… but they kind of taste like peppermint. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

They were amazed by almost everything they saw, but especially by two shiny, silver walls that could move apart and then slide back together again.<\/p>\n

The boy asked, “What is this Father?”<\/p>\n

The father (never having seen an elevator) responded, “Son, I have never seen anything like this in my life, I don”t know what it is.”<\/p>\n

While the boy and his father were watching with amazement, a fat old lady in a wheelchair moved up to the moving walls and pressed a button. The walls opened, and the lady rolled between them into a small room.<\/p>\n

The walls closed, and the boy and his father watched the small numbers above the walls light up sequentially.<\/p>\n

They continued to watch until it reached the last number, and then the numbers began to light in the reverse order.<\/p>\n

Finally, the walls opened up again and a gorgeous 24-year-old blonde stepped out.<\/p>\n

The father, not taking his eyes off the young woman, said quietly to his son…<\/p>\n

“Go get your Mother.”<\/p>\n

You have a lot to consider before you decide to go down that road. Adultery in the military is not treated the same way as it is outside of the armed forces\u2026legally anyway.<\/p>\n

Under the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), adultery is a crime. The accused can be court-martialled.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ll take a second here and point out the fact that a single soldier who has sex with a married person is considered, according to the UCMJ, to have committed adultery.<\/p>\n

According to the UCMJ, adultery is simply having sexual relations with someone who is not your spouse. If a service member is found guilty of this, it can be career-ending. It makes no difference whether or not the service member was legally separated from their spouse at the time of intercourse or not. And once you get the ball rolling with the UCMJ you can\u2019t just decide you want to drop the charges, and everything will be OK.<\/p>\n

It doesn\u2019t work that way. The crime is not against you as a spouse; it is an act that is considered to bring discredit against the armed forces and is, therefore, a violation of good order and discipline.<\/p>\n

I already mentioned that a conviction would likely be career-ending and carry jail time. The resulting discharge most likely would not allow them to draw benefits. That will directly affect you and your children if you have any together.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s basically quite devastating.<\/p>\n

My unsolicited advice as a former soldier who has seen this happen to people; leave the military out of it. File for divorce if you think that is the right thing to do, or go for counseling, or whatever. Nothing good comes out of dragging the government into it.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s ugly, it\u2019s brutal, and it wrecks lives and careers.<\/p>\n
