W. Clement Stone once said, “Little Hinges Swing Big Doors”! What he essentially meant was, the small things we do open the door to the big things in life. W. Clement Stone also announced that, “Tough times don’t last, tough people do”!
This message is intended to let you know that you can power through the most difficult times because the energy needed…is within your grasp.
What You Wish Will Be Your Situation
Dr. Maya Angelou proclaimed, “You may not be able to control all the events that happens to you, but you can decide to not be reduced by them”. Do not worry about oppression. Do not worry about how someone else will handle a situation. Do not worry in a hopeless, critical way especially an unfavorable one. If you dwell on the despair of a situation, you will stay in the dark and trembling misery of extreme fear. Fear only leads to great terror and intense, sharp, overbearing distress or uneasiness of mind. You and only you can control how you will handle any given situation.
This Too Shall Pass
You can go through something…and you can become distraughted; however, it is important to remember, that this too will pass. When going through an episodic situation, STOP! This is the time to think on that time when everything seemed dark; think about how you got through that period in life. If you would recollect on that moment in time, you will know whatever you are be going through will past. Take this time to talk to the Almighty God. This is the time when you should concentrate on the small things and take small steps that you need to get you in the right frame of mind. They are the little moves that can and will catapult you to where you need to be.
You are the Master of Your Fate
After years of painful tuberculosis, and losing his leg to this dreadful disease, Ernest Henley penned the phase, “I am the master of my fate: I am the captain of my soul.”
WORDS TO LIVE BY: If a person is not paying for your clothes, food, and shelter, they should not be the one who dictate your life’s choices. The destiny you choose should be your decision. You are the director of your future.
