Keeping It Natural: By Mae Johnson
Love Yourself from Where You Stand.
Oftentimes, we feel we are not good enough: we are not smart enough; we are not rich enough; we are not pretty enough; or we came from the wrong side of the track. However, the change you desire, resides within. This article is about loving who you are…you are more important than you may feel.
The Almighty God Loves YOU!
We view ourselves more harshly than others view us. When the Almighty God told Moses to lead his people, Moses doubted himself. He did not feel that he was fit to be a leader. He replied to the Almighty God, “who am I, that you would speak to me.” Moses felt that he was weak. He continued with, “I can’t speak, I stutter.” He repeatedly disparaged himself. Although he felt as though he did not belong, the Almighty God spoke to him and let him know that he was chosen and that He would be with him though his endeavors. The Almighty God is with you as well. You may not be perfect in your mindset, but to the Almighty, you are awesomely His. He created you in His likeness, and He loves you more than you imagine. He tells us all the time, that we are His own.
Do Not Be Troubled
Do not be discouraged for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Do not fret about anything, instead, pray about everything. Tell the Almighty God what you need and thank Him for all He has done.” The bible declares, in “Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding…In all thy ways acknowledge him.” This is to let you know, He has your back, whether you are aware of it or not. In essence, love yourself as you were created and not for what you think others think you should be. Know that the Almighty is with you, even when you think everything is falling apart.
Words to Live by: “Not every day is a good day, live anyway. Not all you love will love you back, love anyway. Not everyone will tell you the truth, be honest anyway. Not all deals are fair, play fair anyway.” Hindu Quote
